SUMMARY:SNEP 2025 Massachusetts Announcement
DESCRIPTION:Yarmouth\, Massachusetts – Please join the US Environmental Protection Agency\, Restore America’s Estuaries\, and the New England Environmental Finance Center to announce $11.5 million in new federal funding to restore clean water\, healthy ecosystems\, and sustainable communities in Rhode Island and Southeastern Massachusetts. \nThe funding is through EPA’s Southeast New England Program (SNEP) and includes nearly $2.8 million in direct funding for community-based projects and partnerships through SNEP Watershed Implementation Grants (SWIG). This year\, SWIG is awarding $1.5 million to support seven high-priority restoration projects in Rhode Island; $1.2 million to support 4 projects in Massachusetts; and $100\,000 for an interstate project on the Blackstone River.
