Restore America’s Estuaries and the Coastal States Organization is planning and organizing a local get-your-hands-dirty community service event to help restore a local wetland and to kick off the National Summit. We are very excited to be partnering with Tidal Influence on this restoration project in the Los Cerritos Wetlands.
During this restoration event, Summit attendees will be able to work in this local watershed by doing wetland plant propagation, weeding, planting, and turtle viewing!
Important information: There is a porta-potty on site; closed-toed shoes are required since we are on an oil field; participants will hike into the site about 1/2 mile and back out again at the end. Lunch will not be provided, however there is a shopping center very close to the site.
