Cross Sectoral Roles at the Summit
2020 Summit Attracts Diverse Group of Sponsors, Attendees
By Lance Speidell
More than 1,100 people have registered for the National Coastal & Estuarine Summit ahead of the early bird deadline on August 31st. This record-breaking attendance, alongside our more than 400 presentations and panels, has proven that despite the Covid-19 pandemic, coastal and estuarine restoration and management is still a priority for all who live, work, and play on our shorelines.
While there are just three more weeks to register, this is shaping up to be one of our largest and most diverse Summits ever.
We are particularly grateful to the dozens of organizations that have already sponsored this year’s Summit, as well.
Our sponsors are a key component of the 2020 National Coastal & Estuarine Summit. They bring unique perspectives from the government, foundation, and corporate sectors. Simply put, without our sponsors, there would be no Summit.
Additionally, their support proves that protection and restoration of estuaries and coasts is not the role of any one group, but rather a partnership among many stakeholders. Governments, NGO’s, citizens, and the private sector all must have a seat at the table to achieve our shared goal of healthy estuaries and bays for all.
We would like to thank the following organizations for their support of this year’s Summit:
Lead Partners: Save the Bay – Narragansett Bay, Coastal States Organization
