2025 RAE Virtual Event Code of Conduct
Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE) is committed to creating a safe, inclusive, and respectful online environment for all participants. By attending a RAE virtual event, you are agreeing to abide by the RAE Virtual Event Code of Conduct across all online RAE spaces including virtual meetings, workshops, webinars, websites, and social media platforms.
Our Expectations
All participants — including attendees, speakers, moderators, sponsors, volunteers, and staff — are expected to treat others with respect and professionalism, regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, national origin, or professional background.
We ask everyone to:
- Engage courteously and listen actively
- Protect others’ privacy (no screenshots, recordings, or quotes without consent)
- Use chat and Q&A features constructively and stay on topic
Unacceptable Behavior
- Harassment, discrimination, or intimidation of any kind will not be tolerated. Examples include:
- Offensive or unwelcome comments or materials based on personal characteristics
- Deliberate misgendering, “outing,” or stalking
- Threats, bullying, or repeated disruption of discussions
- Unwelcome sexual attention or sharing of inappropriate content
- Posting or distributing private information without consent
Violations may result in immediate removal from the event and exclusion from future RAE activities.
Reporting and Support
If you experience or witness a violation of this Code of Conduct:
Contact RAE staff through the event platform or email rae@estuaries.org
Reports will be handled confidentially, respectfully, and without retaliation.
