Restore America’s Estuaries Event & Workshop Code of Conduct
Restore America’s Estuaries is committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all participants across all event activities. Harassment, discrimination, or abuse of any kind—whether verbal, physical, or written—will not be tolerated. 

All attendees, including participants, speakers, volunteers, exhibitors, and staff, are expected to treat others with respect regardless of race, ethnicity, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, ability, religion, national origin, or professional status. Unacceptable behavior includes but is not limited to: 

  • Intimidation or threats
  • Offensive or discriminatory language or gestures
  • Unwelcome sexual attention or advances
  • Disruption of presentations, sessions, or other event activities
  • Any other conduct that creates an unsafe or hostile environment 

Violations of this Code of Conduct may result in immediate removal from the event without refund and may lead to exclusion from future events hosted by Restore America’s Estuaries. 

If you witness or experience behavior that violates this Code of Conduct, please report it to RAE staff immediately. All reports will be handled with discretion and seriousness. In case of emergency, call 911. 

By registering for and attending this event, you agree to uphold this Code of Conduct and contribute to a welcoming and respectful community.

Waiver and Release of Liability 
I acknowledge that I understand the intent of this waiver and, for myself, my heirs, executors, administrators, and representatives, hereby agree to release, indemnify, and hold harmless Restore America’s Estuaries, event sponsors, cooperating organizations, and any other parties involved in the planning, organization, or execution of this event, along with their respective successors and assigns (collectively referred to as the “Sponsors”), from any and all liability, claims, or demands for personal injury, illness, property damage, loss, inconvenience, or any other harm or damages of any kind, whether caused by my actions or by the negligence, in whole or in part, of Restore America’s Estuaries, its sponsors, partners, or any other associated individuals or entities. 

I further acknowledge and voluntarily assume all risks associated with my participation in this event, including but not limited to travel, physical activity, environmental conditions, and interactions with other participants. I affirm that I am physically capable of participating in this event and agree to follow all event rules, guidelines, and instructions, conducting myself in a safe and responsible manner throughout. 

Additionally, I consent to receive emergency medical treatment in the event of injury or illness during my participation in this event and release the Sponsors from any liability related to such treatment.

Media Release
By attending a Restore America’s Estuaries’ event, I acknowledge and consent to being photographed, filmed, and/or audio recorded during the event. I grant permission for my likeness, voice, and image to be used by Restore America’s Estuaries for noncommercial communications purposes. These uses may include, but are not limited to, social media posts, newsletters, website content, presentations, articles, brochures, magazines, videos, posters, and digital archives. 

I understand that these materials may be used to promote Restore America’s Estuaries’ mission and programs and that I will not receive compensation for their use. I waive any right to inspect or approve the finished product or any materials in which my likeness appears.
