Request for Application Timeline and Resources – Great Lakes Grant Program
1. Request for Application (RFA) Release – November 3rd, 2025
The program will officially announce the opening of the Letter of Intent (LOI) submission period. Details about eligibility and submission guidelines will be made available.
2. Letter of Intent Submission Deadline – January 16th, 2026
Applicants must submit their LOIs by this date to be considered for the next phase of the application process.
3. Invitations to Submit Full Proposal – February 23rd, 2026
Notification emails will be sent to all applicants. Those invited to proceed will receive detailed instructions for submitting full proposals.
4. Full Proposal Submission Deadline – April 17th, 2026
Invited applicants must submit their comprehensive proposals by this date. These proposals will include detailed project plans and align with program funding priorities.
5. Full Proposal Award Announcements –May 18th, 2026
Final notifications will be sent via email. Selected projects will move forward to the funding and implementation stages.

Webinars and Training
To support applicants, Restore America’s Estuaries will host live webinars and training sessions in the future. These sessions will offer an overview of the grant requirements, provide guidance on crafting quality applications, and answer questions. Exact dates and registration details will be posted on the program’s webpage as soon as they become available.
