schedules, Learning Exchange activities, learning system needs, and other program priorities.

Restore America’s Estuaries (RAE) seeks a part-time Great Lakes Learning & Capacity Building Consultant to support the implementation and coordination of capacity-building and learning opportunities for Great Lakes program participants. The consultant will focus on three core areas: Learning Exchange planning and coordination (approximately 30%); learning content and resource development (approximately 35%); and capacity-building learning support (approximately 35%)

Responsibilities will include coordinating training opportunities and subject-matter experts; developing and adapting practical learning resources; supporting Learning Exchange session design, speakers, and materials; maintaining and organizing Learning Management System (LMS) content and resources; and helping identify emerging learning, training, and capacity-building needs. The consultant should have familiarity with LMS platforms and experience with training delivery, facilitation, quality assurance, and best practices for effective adult learning and capacity building.

The consultant will work under the direction of the Great Lakes Program Director and in
coordination with the Program Associate and other RAE staff, providing implementation-level learning and capacity-building support that complements existing staff roles. The consultant may provide recommendations for improving the organization and use of the LMS but will not be responsible for procuring or independently selecting a new system. The consultant will not be responsible for overall program strategy, subaward management, EPA coordination, program finances, community outreach, or general program administration. The position will require up to 20 hours per week, with time fluctuating depending on scheduled trainings, Learning Exchanges, content development, and learning system activities, at a consulting rate of $40–$50 per hour, commensurate with experience.
