Inclusive Coasts Initiative – CARE Approach

For over 30 years, Restore America’s Estuaries has led impactful coastal and estuarine restoration efforts. As we celebrate the many benefits our coasts provide, we know that multiple barriers have limited access to funding, participation, and leadership opportunities in coastal conservation.

To help address some of these barriers, The Inclusive Coasts Initiative launched its CARE approach which focuses on the action that we can take in our work.

• Coastal Access: Ensuring all communities have opportunities to participate in and benefit from conservation efforts
• Resilience: Strengthening coastal communities and ecosystems through sustainable, inclusive solutions
• Engagement: Fostering collaboration and shared leadership in conservation initiatives

As RAE launches its 2025-2028 strategic plan we are pleased to continue efforts to ensure all communities benefit from living along our coasts.
